Do you know anything about any of the other families?
ReplyDeleteTruly incredible story! Ive learned about this story from dont-remember-which -newspaper and was deeply touched. I looked through your blog and was amazed by your strengh. I was crying that day.

ReplyDeleteIt's so great.
ReplyDeleteI am so relieved to know that you are all in US now, and Polina is safe, saved for good from the russian "state care and protection", with her loving parents and brother. It was like in a "shindlers list" movie, really. Can not even imagine, how difficult it was to go through all this.
God bless you all. Polina looks different already, happyness is making her so pretty!
Kate, Bonn

So happy for your new family
ReplyDeleteBeen follwoing your story for a while and what an awesome happy ending for your family and Polina
Congratulations! My husband and I adopted our three sons from Russia. Our youngest was the toughest adoption - we met him in May 2005 and were unable to get him until May 2006. The circumstances were very similar as to what you experience in November/December/January. It's an amazing journey to experience. I wish you and your family all the best! God Bless. Suzanne, Iowa
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
I am the father of a boy from Kazahkstan. Kazahkstan follows the same rules as Russia and we are very aware of the MoE and their jobs. I am extremly happy to read that Polina is now home safe with you and your husband.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing the people you meet along a journey like yours and mine and how you come to appreciate God's plans are not our plans. My wife and I think that must be his time for humor. To know all things and know our desires and when we make plans for future based upon hurdles to be completed on our timeframe. Must be humor.
Congratulations and continued happiness to you and your family and I pray all the best for your continued blessings from God.
Adoptive Parent David from Memphis, TN.
Yay! So happy for you all. I have to say Polina looks just like you Kendra!
ReplyDeleteHappy for you and for the little Pauline! Good luck to your family! Zlata, Israel

I am so happy to read this post!
ReplyDeleteGood bless you and your wonderful family!
Best wishes from Saint-Petersburg.
Kendra, I am happy for you and even more - for Polina. She finally found the real Mommy, you both her real parents - caring and loving and brave. And very very strong. I have watched the videos and you did your best (it is difficult to even watch the video without holding back the tears).
ReplyDeleteAlso I would like to thank you for finding time in I am sure a very busy schedule to write these posts. I will repost it in facebook, will pass it on to my friends - people in Russia now need to hear the story from the inside, need to know what is going on in orphanages and how many problems there are. Now that the adoption ban has brought so much attention to this problem people NEED to hear the real stories. And they need to see the happy endings too. They need to know that it is a privilege to be able to take a child home from an orphanage. They need to see parents who share information about their kids - because they have nothing to hide.
I am sure God will provide you with all strength and love necessary to care for Polina and Carter.
Please contact me if you need help with communication with Polina. I can translate through Skype if needed. anastasianm at mail.ru
